Data Deletion
Last updated: 1 November 2026 (draft)
Draft for owner and legal review. This page is not yet approved for publication. Highlighted items must be confirmed before launch.
This page explains how a business using eezee chat can ask us to delete its data, what can be deleted, what may need to be kept, and how we review requests.
No company-wide self-service erasure workflow is implemented. Owner to approve and validate an operator-reviewed deletion/anonymisation process before offering this service.
Who can request deletion
- The company’s account Owner, or a person the company has authorised to act for it.
- Employees should ask their company’s Owner, who manages the account.
- If you are a customer of a business that uses eezee chat, please contact that business first. You may also contact us and we will pass your request to the business.
How to request deletion
Contact us at nasserbani@hotmail.com or through our Contact us page. Please send the request from the Owner’s registered email address and include:
- Your company name and the Owner’s email address.
- What you want deleted: the whole company account, specific users, or specific contacts or conversations.
- A way to confirm the request with you.
What you can do yourself in the app
- Owners and Admins can delete local contacts only when they have no conversation history, WhatsApp identifier or linked WhatsApp identity.
- Owners and Admins remove company memberships within role permissions; only Owners manage other Owners/Admins, and the last active Owner is protected. Membership removal does not delete global user accounts or other company memberships.
- Owners and Admins can disconnect a WhatsApp number from eezee chat. This stops eezee chat using the number but does not delete the number or its data at Meta.
What may be deleted
- Scope to confirm: company account details and employee personal data; a user identity can belong to several companies.
- Scope to confirm: contacts, conversations, messages, internal notes and labels, subject to dependencies and approved retention.
- Scope to confirm: WhatsApp connection metadata, stored credentials and locally retained template information. Disconnection does not delete credentials or remote templates.
What may need to be kept
- Invoices, subscription and wallet ledger records, and other records needed for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
- Audit logs of administrative actions, which protect the security of the service.
- Information needed to handle a dispute or a legal request.
Legal to confirm which records are kept, for how long, and whether they are anonymised. Owner to confirm how long backups keep deleted data.
Deleting data from eezee chat does not delete data held by Meta or WhatsApp, or messages on your customers’ phones. Requests about that data are handled under Meta’s own policies.
How we review requests
- We confirm that the request comes from the Owner or an authorised person.
- We confirm with you exactly what will be deleted and what must be kept.
- Owner to approve the supported deletion/anonymisation procedure, checks and completion notification before making this commitment.
Owner to confirm the target response time before publishing; no deadline is promised here.
